Kirton-Lane Cavies Was established in 2005 and concentrated on pure bred Rex in 2006.
We aim to produce show quality sound pigs and all stock used in our breeding programme are from proven show lines/shown by us. We do not in-breed and NEVER cull pups who do not conform to the appropriate standard, if we can't find suitable loving homes we keep them !
We do however put as much emphasis on good nature as looks as we believe pigs should be pets first and temprement is just as important to us as good looks!
We are proud to have acheived N.C.C. 15 star Award with Kirton-Lane Chad 2009.
2007 has seen us adding Tri to our stock, and we are attempting to breed this challenging colourway, but it is proving very, verydifficult ! (Tri and Bi are smooth coats and marked in colour patches similar to tort & whites, but must not be black , red or white, any other colour combination is acceptable)
2008 we have decided to concentrate on the Roans & Tri, we will still keep a few Rex but probably not show them or very lightly.
2009 Satins have found their way into the shed! And we are still persevering with the Tri's, the odd Roan & Rex
2010 Satins have taken over ! We are as ever still persevering with the difficult Tri's but no longer keep Rex, Roan or Dalmations.
2011 maintain the status quo !
2012 Ditto !
This site is intended just to show the type of pig we breed, but we are always happy to offer advice/ help so please feel free to get in touch.
We do occasionally have surplus stock for sale BUT We only breed, what we need !

This is our ALICE 21 yrs ! It is with great sadness i have to report that sadly Alice slipped away from us on the 4th Dec 2009. She was 21 yrs and 3 months old, a grand age for any dog and fit and healthy to the end . sweet dreams my love X
